Product Overview

The Plunger Slide is used in the Corona low profile carriage assembly, which is a part of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system. The plunger slide is assembled with a carriage base plate to hold the bearing by the use of washers and screws. The plunger is made up of a DELRIN® crystalline plastic which offers an excellent balance of properties that bridge the gap between metals and plastics. The material possesses high tensile strength, good creep resistance and excellent toughness. It also exhibits low moisture absorption. It is resistant to hydrocarbons, solvents and neutral chemicals. These properties along with its fatigue endurance, make this material ideal for many industrial applications. This part is being used in MR Signa HDx 3.0T, MR Discovery PET/MR 750w 3.0T, MR Signa LX 1.5T, MR Discovery MR450 1.5T, MR Signa Advantage 1.5T, MR Signa HDx Twinspeed 1.5T, MR Signa Profile 0.2T, MR Signa HDxt 1.5T, XR AMX 4+, MR Signa Horizon LX 1.5T, MR Signa HDxT HD23 Echospeed 1.5T, MR Signa HD 3.0T, MR Signa HDi 1.5T and MR Signa HDxt Excite 3.0T and many other systems because of its unique features and operational efficiency.
